  • Clients must read and agree to all terms before placing an order. Failure to do so does not exempt the client from these conditions.
  • Terms of Service and prices are subject to change at any time. You are only bound to the terms and prices agreed upon at the time of the transaction.
  • DigiDessert Studio reserves the right to refuse projects or requests based on content, subject matter, or other reasons.
  • Clients must be 18+ and legally able to commit to this agreement, or have a legal guardian make this agreement on their behalf.
  • Failure to comply with these Terms of Service may result in refusal of future service and permanent blacklisting.
  • DigiDessert Studios operates Monday through Friday, 12pm–10pm EST (Eastern Standard Time).
  • Communication happens via VGen and Discord. Digi handles all project communication on behalf of DigiDessert Studios and our Artists.
  • Ongoing communication will occur throughout the project, including work-in-progress updates, idea generation and collaboration, and situational updates.
  • Response time may vary, and can take up to 1-2 business days in order to provide better or more concrete updates.
  • Turnaround time may vary depending on the Artist's workload and complexity of the service. Any changes to the estimated timeline, including delays, will be communicated promptly.
  • If a Client does not respond within a reasonable amount of time, the commission will be paused and their slot may be given to other clients. If the Client is determined to have ghosted, DigiDessert Studio reserves the right to cancel the project.
  • The Client grants DigiDessert Studios non-exclusive rights to observe and replicate the Client's own character design and reference material for the Work.
  • The Client warrants they have the authority to enter this agreement, act as point of contact, and are solely responsible for decisions and approvals during the process.
  • Artists at DigiDessert Studios will not copy or heavily reference unauthorized materials.
  • DigiDessert Studios does NOT allow any usage of artificial intelligence (AI) — any references using AI will be disregarded.
  • DigiDessert Studios does NOT allow any usage of plagiarized content or content not owned by the Client.
  • Personal, technical, payment, or sensitive information shared between either party — or incorporated into deliverables not made public — is considered confidential and will not be disclosed without prior written permission.

  • Delivery time depends on the Artist's workload, project type, and queue. Digi will provide an estimated completion time and/or indicate any delays.
  • DigiDessert Studios will provide progress updates and seek the Client's feedback voluntarily.
  • The Client is entitled to a set amount of revisions within the scope of the commission. Additional revisions beyond that will incur an extra charge — see the "Important" section under each service.
  • Significant changes to the project, such as altering the concept or requesting major changes, may be subject to additional fees and time extensions.
  • DigiDessert Studios has the right to publish work as a portfolio piece and to stream the work, unless a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is agreed upon.
  • The Client is granted rights to use the commissioned work according to the license type purchased and agreed upon at the time of commission.
  • The Client may not claim the artwork as their own — proper credit to DigiDessert Studio must be given whenever the work is displayed or shared publicly.
  • Reproducing, redistributing, or duplicating the artwork in any form is not permitted without prior approval.
  • Once a commission is finalized, Clients may not edit, modify, or alter the artwork in any way without explicit permission.
  • Confidential information shared during the project will not be disclosed to any other party without prior written permission.
  • Personal License — for personal use only, including private use or as a reference for other artists. Commercial use, monetization, and public distribution are not permitted.
  • Monetized License — allows personal use and sharing publicly (social media, streams). Direct profit from the artwork itself, such as selling merchandise, is not permitted.
  • Commercial License — grants full usage rights for profit-based purposes, including merchandise and branding, plus personal and social media use. Automatically included in the price for Live2D and 3D model commissions.
  • Payment is in USD. Clients may be responsible for any applicable sales taxes or fees.
  • Commissions must be paid in full up front. For higher value projects, payment plans can be explored — project files will not be delivered until payment is completed in full.
  • Payment details, including invoices and proposals, will be provided once the studio is ready to begin your project. Please do not send payment until you receive an official request.
  • Invoices must be paid within 72 hours, or the project may be canceled.

  • Refunds depend on the amount of work completed and time spent on the project.
  • Cancellation before work has started: full refund.
  • Cancellation during sketch stage: 75% refund.
  • Cancellation when halfway done: up to 50% refund, depending on work completed. Work cannot be used.
  • Cancellation more than halfway done: up to 25% refund, depending on work completed. Work cannot be used unless agreed upon.
  • Cancellation near completion: no refund provided.
  • If the Artist cannot complete the work or there are unforeseen delays, the Client may be eligible for a full refund, or a 50% partial refund if work-in-progress is accepted and used.
  • No refunds are provided after the service is completed, and chargebacks are not authorized.
  • The Client agrees to hold DigiDessert Studio and its Artists harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from the Client's use of the commissioned work, including misuse or unauthorized distribution.
  • The Client is responsible for ensuring any materials or references provided do not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other IP rights. DigiDessert Studio is not liable for legal issues arising from client-provided content.
  • If delivered work does not meet agreed terms due to studio oversight, DigiDessert Studio will make reasonable efforts to correct or revise the work.
  • DigiDessert Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from use of the commissioned work.
  • By commissioning or using DigiDessert Studio's services, the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to all Terms of Service.
  • The Client affirms they are at least 18 years of age, or have obtained consent from a legal guardian who agrees to these terms on their behalf.
  • The agreement between the Client and DigiDessert Studio becomes effective upon the first transaction.
  • By proceeding with any transaction or communication, the Client acknowledges and accepts these terms in full.

Who We Are

DigiDessert Studio is a small, cozy creative studio that builds illustrations, websites, discord servers, and branding for clients across all kinds of communities. Our goal is to have a space where every client can bring their creative vision to life, guided by artists who genuinely love what they make. FAQ

Do I need commission experience?

Not necessarily! We look at portfolio quality and consistency more than whether you've taken paid work before.

Can I be a part of the studio and work independently?

100%! We want you to build your portfolio and take your own commissions too. We're here to support you, and we handle the commissions you get through us, but we want our artists to feel free. As long as you're creating the quality of work you agreed to and hitting the timelines we expect, we have no issues with what you do outside of the studio!

Can I be a part of multiple studios?

Our intention isn't to step on other studios' toes, so we're currently not accepting artists who want to be part of multiple studios at once. However, if you're interested in transferring from your current studio to ours, we'd love to discuss more.

Can I set my own availability or take breaks when needed?

Yes! You're allowed to set your own availability, and we always encourage breaks! Your mental health and well-being are very important to us. That said, we run a quality studio with 300+ reviews, so as long as we're meeting the client's timeline within reason and communication stays open, there's no problem at all. Work life balance is important!

What percentage/cut do artists keep from each commission?

Artists keep 80% of the commission plus 100% of any tips or donations. DigiDessert Studio takes a 20% cut to cover administrative fees.

How and when do artists get paid?

You'll fill out proper forms so we have the correct payment info, and payouts are sent via PayPal. Keep in mind you'll need to account for taxes on your end. Artists are paid within 1-3 days after submitting the fully completed project and having it marked as complete. Digi will always communicate the pay schedule, and if you're booked out ahead of time, we can set up a payment schedule on a specific day if you prefer. We'll adjust around what works for you.

What happens if a client doesn't pay or a commission falls through?

We protect our artists as much as we protect our clients.. that's what our Terms of Service (TOS) are for. Clients agree to these terms upfront, and we communicate thoroughly so there are no assumptions. We don't start a commission until the client pays, and if something falls through or needs a refund, we always make sure you get paid for the work you've completed. Our system is set up to limit these situations in the first place, to keep our artists protected.

How much creative freedom do I have on a commission?

100% of it! You set your own boundaries on a commission! As an example, for something like a SKEB commission, it's entirely up to you. For a regular commission, it's important to take the client's special requests into account, and through the revision period we'll make sure both artist and client end up happy. Just keep communication open with Digi and we'll work things out!

Do I keep the rights to post finished work in my own portfolio?

Absolutely! This is guaranteed within our terms of service.

Will my name/handle be credited on client-facing work?

Yes! We require clients to credit DigiDessert Studio and the artist's name or social. If you'd prefer to just have the studio credited, we can do that too.

What does the studio handle vs. what's on me as the artist?

All you have to worry about is your art and communicating with us. Digi is the front and middleman. You'll never be in direct contact with the client, as Digi handles that and relays everything you need to know. We also handle scheduling. Your only job is to focus on your well-being and create work that aligns with the client's wants, our studio standards, and your own creativity.

What's the process if I need to step back or leave the team?

Just communicate with us! We want to invest in our artists as much as they invest in us. If something comes up, you're unsure, or you just need a break.. whatever it may be.. we'll work things out together and find a time for you to return or discuss the steps in leaving.
